Went out for a couple nights for some sun and sand. There was still water in the creek which was good to see, even if it was frozen solid at times.
High and Dry
We aren’t getting a lot of snow this winter. Today it’s supposed to be 50°F. [According to a local I talked to, the high was 55°F only two degrees below the record which was 57° apparently]. Far too warm for February 4th. From the Continental Divide where these photos are taken, sits at about 65% of the average snowpack. With the LA fires at the top of peoples’ minds, the conditions suggest a summer of high fire danger if things continue to be dry. Yikes.
